Established 2008, the TDCI- Student Nurses Association (SNA) is comprised of Nursing Majors and those interested in the profession of Nursing. SNA seeks to give its members the chance to grow personally, intellectually, professionally, and socially. The health information and services offered to the school and community encompass a large portion of this. The Student Nurses Association encourages all nursing students to develop their leadership skills and capabilities. Members of this student-led association serve on school committees and organize numerous academic, social, and community service events. The six NSNA basic values—Leadership and Autonomy, Quality Education, Advocacy, Professionalism, Care, and Diversity—are upheld in all of the SNA’s activities.
A student who is an active SNA member is knowledgeable of the problems, obligations, and requirements facing the nursing profession and the people it serves.
